Marcello Ziliani, born in Brescia, Italy, in 1963, is a versatile architect and designer celebrated for his multidisciplinary approach and commitment to sustainability. He graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1988, where he studied under the esteemed Achille Castiglioni. Ziliani's career encompasses product design, exhibition setups, theatrical scenography, art direction, design coordination, graphics, and communication. He has a particular focus on furniture, lighting, bathroom fixtures, office solutions, and early childhood products. His designs often incorporate materials such as wood, metal, and innovative polymers, reflecting his emphasis on "lean producibility" and user-centered design. Throughout his career, Ziliani has collaborated with renowned brands including Ethimo, Roche Bobois, and SCAB Design, contributing to collections that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. His work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, such as the Good Design Awards in 2017 and 2019, the Archiproducts Design Awards in 2018 and 2021, and the Red Dot Design Award in 2020, underscoring his significant contributions to contemporary design.
